Why? Redemption.
My favorite childhood memory was just about everything related to summer! I loved being out of school and being free to spend my days swimming, playing with the neighborhood kids, eating ice cream from the ice cream man who came through our neighborhood every afternoon, and that feeling of freedom that only came with summer.
I first had my attention turned towards the plight of the fatherless when my husband Paul flew to Korea in 1994 to bring our almost 4 month old, Ethan, home. He visited the orphanage there and called me that evening to say, “Robin, we can’t just leave all these kids here and do nothing. Christians just don’t know
the need. I just know that Christians will step up, if they just know the need”. That was the seed that started our ministry, Hope for Orphans.
We couldn’t imagine how God could provide for us financially, in order to work full time in Orphan Care Ministry. When we finally quit trying to come up with our ideas of how that could happen and stepped out in faith (although small) we watched Him work in ways that were truly amazing!
This session is ideal for orphan ministry leaders, pastors, biblical counselors and adoption professionals who are serving families at risk for disruption.
